EARLY EDUCATION - Working Parent Entitlement
Families MUST have a valid HMRC code in place BEFORE the start date of a claim period.

Claim PeriodStart Date
Autumn1 September
Spring1 January
Summer1 April
This means the family MUST reconfirm their details when requested by HMRC (usually every 90 days) to keep it valid.

[IMPORTANT] Families may be eligible for funding but if the HMRC code is not valid, funding will be at risk or declined.

To apply for a code, families must open a HMRC account or sign in to their existing oneMore information about funded childcare can be found on the Best Start in Life parent hub.

EARLY EDUCATION - Parent / Carer Claim Forms
Please return your Parent /Carer claim form to your provider promptly so that they can claim the funded entitlement for your child. Any delay returning this form may have an impact on your childcare fees.

Tax-Free Childcare and Universal Credit for Childcare

Sign up for Tax Free Childcare or Universal Credit for Childcare as soon as possible if you have childcare fees to pay.
