Deadlines

From 1 April 2024

Please return your Parent /Carer claim form to your provider so that they can claim the funded entitlement for your child.  Any delay returning this form may have an impact on your childcare fees.

It is important that a code issued by HMRC is shared with your chosen childcare provider as soon as possible, so that they can validate it.  The validation will check the code start date which will determine when your child can commence their funding once they meet the eligibility age range.

Please remember to reconfirm your details with HMRC every 90 days or when reminded if earlier.

No later than 31 August 2024

To receive a working parent funded childcare place from 1 September 2024, it is necessary to obtain a valid HMRC code for your child by 31 August 2024.

To apply for a code, families must open a HMRC account or sign in to their existing one.

To keep your working parent funded childcare place or you use Tax-Free Childcare, you MUST REMEMBER to re-confirm your code and/or confirm your details are up to date every 90 days.

More information about funded childcare is available at Childcare Choices

IMPORTANT: Failure to re-confirm your code by the deadline means your funded place is at risk.
