Free School Meals

All children attending Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are offered free school meals as part of the Government's Universal Free School Meals for Infants programme.  If you receive a benefit that gives entitlement to Free School Meals as detailed below your child's school can get additional funding but you must apply to us.

Children of families receiving the following benefits are entitled to Free School Meals and Pupil Premium    

  • Income Support
  • Employment Support Allowance  (income related)
  • Income Based Job Seekers allowance
  • Support from NASS (National Asylum Support Service) under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (with NO Working Tax Credit) with an annual income of no more than £16,190
  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
  • Universal Credit (provided the family has an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400)
